The necropolis of Gajina is located about 1 km from the center of Glavatičevo, on the left bank of the Neretva, along the road. It was declared a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but there are no signposts or information boards on the site. The necropolis is located on a private property, and access is possible through a fence gate.
The necropolis consists of 15 medieval tombstones, of which three chests and four gabled ones. The processing of the medieval tombstones is of high quality, although some of them are damaged or partially sunk into the ground. The monuments are oriented in the directions northwest-southeast and southwest-northeast.
Decorative ornaments are recorded on seven medieval tombstones (three chests and four gabled ones). Among the motifs, the twisted ribbon, frieze of bent vine with trefoils, twisted wreath, arcades, double spiral, giant’s staff and parallel ribs stand out.
One of the medieval tombstones, decorated on all four sides, contains a carved inscription, but it is hardly legible due to erosion. On its front side, there is a grandfather’s staff in the shape of the letter T, while on the upper surface, plastic parallel ribs are visible.
