The Illyrian hillfort “Grad” in Banjalučica is situated at an elevation of approximately 840 meters, on the border between the municipalities of Sokolac and Olovo, and is not recorded in the Archaeological Lexicon of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is a large military hillfort featuring visible remains of ramparts formed from natural rocks. The site is naturally inaccessible from three sides, confirming its defensive character, though it is now heavily forested and was completely destroyed during historical conquests.
Nearby are the Kalijina and Bioštica rivers, which meet not far from the hillfort. Visible at the site are Illyrian stone-and-earth tumuli (burial mounds), an Illyrian well/cisterna known as Zveka, and a single solitary medieval tombstone in the shape of a chest.
On the northern side, beneath the Illyrian wall, a stone-paved Roman road can be seen, currently overgrown with vegetation, descending toward the confluence of the rivers.
