In the forest above Viogor (Srebrenica municipality), at the Mramorje site, lies a necropolis containing at least 34 medieval tombstones, mostly in the shape of chests with pedestals, along with a smaller number of gabled roofs with pedestals. The primary orientation of the medieval tombstones is northwest–southeast, though a portion of the monuments has been displaced over time. Due to the poor quality of the sandstone from which they were crafted, the monuments are coarsely finished and heavily damaged today.
In one spot, traces of an attempted excavation of a medieval tombstone are visible, likely the work of individuals searching for alleged treasure. The necropolis is in very poor condition, overgrown with dense vegetation, and many medieval tombstones are completely covered by leaves, branches, and fallen trees, meaning it is highly possible there are more monuments hidden from view. An old Orthodox cemetery is located right next to the necropolis.
It is worth noting that local researchers R. Djedović and A. Đozić recorded this site in 2016 solely based on the oral account of a local resident, without visiting the field themselves. At the time, the resident informed them that there were “at least two tombstones” at the location.
