Velika Gradina is located in the village of Novoseoci, Sokolac Municipality, on a dominant hill. It is circular in shape and surrounded by defensive walls.
It had a visual connection with Mala Gradina, which indicates its strategic function in the past.
The climb to Velika Gradina is challenging due to the dense bushes, undergrowth and garland thorn, but the reward at the top is a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape.
The iconic bird chariot was found nearby, one of the most important artifacts related to the Illyrian tribe of the Autariates, which is now kept in the Natural History Museum in Vienna.
