The Illyrian, medieval and Ottoman town of Lis is located on a karst plateau at the foot of the Lisin mountain.
Today, only small remains of the walls built in lime mortar, as well as fragments of ceramics, are visible on the fortification. Natural rocks formed the largest part of the defence system of this town.
According to Ottoman written sources, the village of Repovci was once called Podlisje, which indicates that the fortification was called Lis, while Podlisje (Repovci) was its suburb.
