Successful Promotion of the Book “From Bato to Kulin Ban” Held in Breza

On Thursday, November 27, an exceptionally well-attended promotion of the book “From Bato to Kulin Ban” by Suad Haznadarević and Emir Medanhodžić was held at the Municipal Library “Muhamed Kantardžić” in Breza, organized by the Foundation “Heritage Watchdogs – Bassania.”

The event gathered over fifty attendees, and public interest exceeded all expectations. All 20 copies of the book brought by the Foundation were sold out, while several visitors unfortunately could not purchase their copies on-site. This success is especially significant given that Breza has only about 3,000 residents in its urban area, demonstrating a strong local interest in historical and cultural heritage.

A special honor was the attendance of Mayor of Breza, Mr. Vedad Jusić. During the event, the Foundation publicly proposed that the hero Bato be honored by renaming Bogumilska Street (in the town center) to Baton Street, and even suggested the idea of renaming the town to “Baton City.” The Foundation also proposed future initiatives to erect a monument and open a museum dedicated to this significant historical figure.

The Foundation “Heritage Watchdogs – Bassania” extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the event – Tomo, Edin, Mirza, and Salih, as well as to the media partners Radio Breza, Breza X, and regional portals IlijašNet and Vareški Vijestnik.

Sincere thanks also go to all the citizens of Breza for their warm welcome and remarkable enthusiasm.
